Sustainable Comfort: How We Build Better Outdoor Experiences

Sustainability isn’t a buzzword for us — it’s just how good design works. Building temporary accommodation on open land means thinking carefully about how everything fits together: how it looks, how it functions, and what footprint it leaves behind.

At Hotel Bell Tent, we design with nature in mind. Every site is mapped to work with the landscape, not against it — layouts that follow the contours of the land, access routes that protect the ground, and lighting that enhances the setting without overpowering it. The result is a space that feels like part of its surroundings, not an interruption.

Material choices matter too. Our structures are built to last, designed for reuse across multiple seasons, and maintained with care to reduce waste. Furnishings and finishes are chosen for durability and sustainability, not disposability — quality that endures instead of being replaced.

The same thinking extends to catering and operations. We source locally wherever possible, prioritising fresh produce and regional suppliers. Compostable serviceware and responsible waste management help us keep our footprint light, without compromising on quality or presentation.

For us, sustainability and comfort go hand in hand. The goal isn’t to make luxury simpler — it’s to make it smarter. By planning carefully and sourcing responsibly, we build experiences that feel good to be in and good to stand behind.
