Silverstone classic FAQs
When can I check in?
Guests can check in at the Hotel Bell Tent reception from 2pm on Friday 20th July. Check out is at 11am on Monday 23rd July. Please bring photo ID and a copy of your booking confirmation or invoice when checking in.
What are the reception opening hours?
Normal reception opening hours are 8am-12am. When reception is closed, there will be a 24-hour point of contact for use in emergencies.
Where is Hotel Bell Tent located at Silverstone Classic?
Hotel Bell Tent will be in Silverstone Woodlands campsite, the official campsite of the Silverstone racetrack, just a few minutes walk from all of the action.
I'm travelling by car. What are the parking arrangements?
Guests will have access to an exclusive car park directly next to the Hotel Bell Tent area. The lead booker will be sent a car parking pass that they can print and place in the windscreen of their car.
Will there be security?
Only wristbanded guests are permitted to enter the Hotel Bell Tent area, and there will be a 24/7 dedicated security presence.
As always, Hotel Bell Tent can not be liable for lost or stolen items, and we advise against bringing valuable items unnecessarily.
Will there really be bell boys?
Yes! On arrival you will be greeted by our lovely receptionists and checked into your room, and super-efficient bell boys will then be on hand to help you take your luggage from our reception area to your tent.
Will there be food and drink on site?
A delicious cooked breakfast will be being served each morning in our onsite hospitality area – all included in the price of your package.
Our exclusive bar will be open until midnight each day.
The bar and lounge will be located in a gorgeous hospitality area. The area will have both inside and outside seating in the form of wooden benches and tables, sofas and low level tables, hay bales and a fire pit circle all magically lit and decorated.
What essential items should I bring?
We highly recommend you bring a torch, lots of layers for when the sun goes down, plenty of warm bedding (if you’re bringing your own) and cosy pyjamas. Bringing an extra blanket is always a good idea just in case the night times are a little cooler.
I’m interested in adding a fridge to my booking. How big is it?
Fridges have a capacity of 45 litres. The external dimensions are 47.2 x 49.2 x 45 cm.
What about toilets, showers and pamper areas?
Hotel Bell Tent will have free access to Silverstone Woodland's superb facilities, and the exclusive use of the Hotel Bell Tent pamper tent complete with pamper stations featuring big Hollywood mirrors and hairdryers.
Please note that showers in particular can be extremely busy at peak times. We recommend trying to use the showers outside of peak times (breakfast time and early evening), and bringing a magazine if you’re planning on getting in line to freshen up…
Will there be power in my accommodation?
Each structure is supplied with power. This is for the charging of phones and cameras only – use for anything more powerful could overload the system and disrupt power supply for you and your fellow guests. If in doubt, please check with Hotel Bell Tent reception staff.
What’s this about a movie tent?
For those who would like to be able to make use of the Hotel Bell Tent movie tent to entertain the little ones, don’t forget to bring your favourite DVDs from home.
What other exciting goodies can I look forward to?
We love to spoil our guests as much as possible so we’ve teamed up with some exciting partners in order to surprise you with some really special goodies including high end bathroom miniatures, eye masks, ear plugs, bottled water and more!
Can I use a barbeque?
No open fires or BBQs are permitted. Only purpose built gas stoves with small gas bottles (2.2kg) are permitted, and no spare bottles are to be brought.
Will drinking water be available?
Water taps can be found in and around the site and are supplied with mains water suitable for drinking.
What about the environment?
At Hotel Bell Tent we respect the environment and try our hardest to look after all the beautiful spaces in which we set up camp. We welcome all guests’ help in keeping our area clean and tidy and assisting us in leaving no trace.
